THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES

One of the chief feasts of the Jews.

It began near the end of September or the first of October and lasted seven days.

Since the time of Nehemiah, it had included an eighth day.

This was also called the Feast of Booths, commemorating the Israelites dwelling in booths during their wilderness wanderings.

THE TIME OF THE LORD. JOHN 7:6, 8

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

God has timing for our lives.

Jesus not only referred to this in regard to His life on this occasion, but also in regard to His death.

Mark 14:41

The public ministry of Jesus didn’t start till He was 30.

Does everything happen at exactly the time the Lord wants it to? No.

You can't get out of His will, but you can get out of His timing.

Stay in His will and His time schedule for your life will be kept.

IT IS BEST NOT TO DIVULGE ALL THE LORD IS LEADING YOU TO DO.

John 7:8, 10.

Was Jesus lying, saying He wasn’t going, but then He went? No.

Some things the Lord is putting on your heart to do, at first you don’t need to divulge to anyone.

Nehemiah 1:11, 12

Not saying you don’t eventually tell.

Why you should not tell at first?

Gives time to have it confirmed in your heart.

Protects against discouragement.
