The Incredible Pizza Company Thursday, July 29: Although The Incredible Pizza Company is now known as "Luidos," it's still the best place to go for a giant all-you-can-eat buffet, a big game room with great prizes, an indoor go-cart track, and more. As tradition demands we always save this for our "farewell to summer field trips" place. The kids ate a lot and had a great time indoors. (Also, as per tradition, no photos available.) |

Hey Day Tuesday, July 27 - 78 photos: Hey Day is similar to its competition across the street (Andy Alligator's Fun Park) with its indoor and outdoor activities, but with one major difference - a laser tag arena. We began with 30 minutes of laser tag, then 30 minutes on their ropes course. The rest was spent in the indoor arcade.

Dynamo Gym Thursday, July 23 - 24 photos: Dynamo Gym is a gymnastics place for most ages, with a "Play Zone" area, just off the Northwest Expressway. We found a nice quiet spot in Stars and Stripes Park near lake Hefner to have an early picnic lunch. After having some free time it was only a hop, skip, and a jump to Dynamo Gym for some indoor fun.

Andrew's Water Park, Norman Tuesday, July 20 - 36 photos: It was water play, part 2. The question: Do we go back to the same water park or do something different? Andrew's Park in Norman has a great park with places to eat, an outdoor theater, and - most important - an awesome water park with a few more gadgets ours here in Midwest City doesn't have. After lunch and water play, we stopped off for snowcones on the way home.

Intermission: VBS 2010 - Saddle Ridge Ranch July 12-16 (322 photos): Summer Mother's Day Out took five as Vacation Bible School 2010 - Saddle Ridge Ranch - rode into town. Hopefully some of you cowboys and cowgirls were able to come. Here's the link to the photo albums of that five day cattle drive. We had a great time!

Andy Alligator's Fun Park Thursday, July 8 - 64 photos: Andy Alligator's Fun Park has a great assortment of indoor and outdoor activities, which came in handy on this particular trip. As the rain clouds rolled in the kids moved from rock climbing, bumper boats, and go carts to the indoor arcade. Your kids received a game card, one free drink ticket with one refill, and two outdoor activity passes. Enough fun for the time we were there!

Jasmine Moran Children's Museum Tuesday, July 6 - 63 photos: Jasmine Moran is a hands on museum for kids. Children can explore our world through an airliner cockpit, an ambulance, and television broadcasting. Lots of hands on fun can be found in their bubble factory, construction site, art center, grocery store, and many other exhibits. New exhibits were available on this trip. A new Mayan exhibit was upstairs and new activities were found in the science area.

Oklahoma City Zoo Thursday, July 1- 44 photos: The Oklahoma City Zoo is a great place to see our nature pals in God's creation. Some of the highlights you'll see are the aquariums, the Lorikeet aviary, the Children's Petting Zoo, and the giant Galapagos Tortoises.

Water Play Tuesday, June 29 - 58 photos: We started the day off with an early lunch at Lion's Park and had some fun on the nearby playground equipment. Then we moved our group up the hill to the water play area where we spent hours splashing, squirting, and flinging water at each other. Taking a break, we went for snowcones. Then had some frisbee fun, took turns flying kites, and Clint let us launch balls across the park with a big sling shot ... and we went back for more water park fun.

Bowling Thursday, June 24 - 35 photos, 1 video: We started the day off with an early lunch at Kiwanis Park and had some fun on the playground equipment. Hmm, sounding like a parrot. Had snowcones, then went to Sunnylanes Bowling in Del City. Depending on who you talked to, it was a great time or "the worst trip ever." Oh well.

Roller Skating Tuesday, June 22 - Sorry, no photos (forgot the camera - Doh!): We started the day off with an early lunch at Kiwanis Park and had some fun on the playground equipment. Just before we loaded up the shuttle bus and van, we stopped for a snowcone! "Roller Land" in Midwest City is a nice skating rink that plays music on request and has an impressive light show. Features included "The Hokie Pokie," "The Limbo," and "Couple Skating" (okay, whatever). The really fun part of "Couple Skating" was explaining to the kids what couple skating meant. |

Jump Zone Thursday, June 17 - 107 photos: We started the day off with an early lunch at Kiwanis Park and had some fun on the playground equipment. Then we loaded up the bus and headed across town to Jump Zone. In the nicely air conditioned indoor play area, our kids enjoyed inflatables, climbing toys, and air hockey. Just before leaving everyone got their choice of a snack from the snack bar. We returned home with a few minutes to relax and have some free time.

Oklahoma Science Museum Tuesday, June 15 - 69 photos have been posted! Due to all the rain, our trip to the zoo was rescheduled and we stayed indoors at the Oklahoma Science Museum. Sponsors and kids divided into groups and enjoyed the exhibits for awhile before eating lunch. Then we enjoyed more exhibit fun before going to the Science Live theater to watch our host blow stuff up!
